The efficient and effective movement of people and freight within the Port Botany and Sydney Airport precinct is critical to the State’s economy, productivity growth and on-going investment. Following previous NSW Government Submissions related to this precinct1, Infrastructure Australia has recognised that ensuring efficient landside connections to Port Botany and Sydney Airport is a nationally significant problem.

 The NSW Government has begun the task of addressing the transport challenges in the Port Botany and Sydney Airport precinct by commissioning Infrastructure NSW to develop a Sectoral Strategy Statement that will have a particular focus on coordinating short term improvements for the precinct.
