Captain Ross Nicholls is a Brisbane Marine Pilot, AMPI Member and President of the Mission to Seafarers Brisbane. Ross was interviewed recently on ABC radio and gave a great account as to the background and drivers behind what the MTS do and their recent award of Seafarer Centre of the Year!
Well done to the team at MTS Brisbane, as pilots we can see daily the positive impact a trip to town or even the mere mention of the local Mission to Seafarers can have on a ships crew.

"The Mission to Seafarers Brisbane welcomes an estimated 12,000 seafarers each year and maximises seafarers’ time ashore with its free on-demand bus service. In addition to its wider stakeholder cooperation, the MTS Brisbane works with students at Queensland University of Technology to help them meet the constantly evolving media needs of seafarers"
