SYDNEY pilots recently have personally each committed to donating $1 per day to the Mission to Seafarers Sydney to assist them in the work they do to assist with the well being of the international seafarers that come to the ports of Sydney.

Our small contribution will assist the Mission to Seafarers Sydney to put fuel in the bus and pay the local road toll fees.

I am encouraging all pilot services to consider undertaking a similar commitment to the local seafarers centre in their port and we will publish their contribution on the AMPI website.
Our challenge is to have all Australian ports or pilot services on the list of supporters.

Please see the link on our home page for further information and details about what we have achieved to date! Many thanks to Captain Michael Kelly for championing the initiative.

Head to the IMPA members area to view the IMPA GA elections notice.

AMPI is pleased to advise that our very own Captain Adam Roberts is nominated along with five other highly respected international colleagues to assume four positions of Vice Presidents of IMPA.

Adam is an active pilot in Port Kembla, he was elected as AMPI Vice President in 2017 and over the recent years he has been working hard on raising awareness and the standards of pilot ladder design and safety, currently he is representing IMPA at ISO TC 8 SC/1 reviewing ISO:799 Pilot Ladders.

The AMPI board on behalf of our members thank Adam for his efforts and wish him and the other nominees all the best in the upcoming IMPA elections.
