A Pilots role in Enhancing Situational Awareness
Lindsay first went to sea in 1992 as a Howard Smith Cadet. On completion of his cadetship Lindsay joined Stolt Nielsen Transportation Group (Stolt Tankers) and spent the next 10 years working on Chemical Tankers that were engaged in a world-wide trade. During this time, he also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business and Logistics via correspondence through the AMC. In 2004 Lindsay was offered the Master’s position on the Stolt Australia and in 2006 joined Sydney Pilots. Over the last 13 years Lindsay has taken on various roles with the training committee that have included the mentoring and recruitment of new pilots and is currently working on the development on an electronic Master Pilot Exchange. |
