THE AUSTRALASIAN MARINE PILOTS INSTITUTE

AJ BRYANT

First Aid for Pilot Boat Crews and Marine Pilots

AJ Bryant is the General Manager and Co-Owner of the National First Aid Training Institute, one of the largest privately owned first aid training companies in Australia. Before becoming a first aid instructor, he worked at Australia Zoo as an occupational first aider. He patched up animal handlers and patrons alike in varying stages of traumatic injury, and managed to fake concern the entire time. As such, he has had extensive experience dealing with severe trauma and advanced emergency treatment methods.

He and his Office Manager and wife Liz Bryant, in conjunction with the Mooloolaba Brisbane Marine Pilots station, completed an extensive risk assessment of operations. Together they have developed an advanced training package specific to the injuries associated with pilot and marine operations.

He keeps a snake, 2 cats and two small children as pets. His Co-owner and wife Liz calls him 50% CEO, 50% trainer, 50% geek, 20% comedian and 2% mathematician.
